fresh ideas. innovative projects.
This innovation section has ongoing ideas and concepts I'm currently developing.
If ideas progress and get traction, they eventually pop into the Entrepreneurship section.
a process for
TRANSFORMATIVE ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Socially innovative business models and projects can be used to tackle leverage points in complex systems. The introduction of new paradigms through exponential organizations at the right scale of a system, can produce a transformation to alleviate problems at a global scale (eg. energy, food).
I believe we can develop purposeful projects, products and organizations whose missions are to address systemic problems. Combining multiple theories and approaches can make this problem-solution approach a systematic process. However, the most important part is to learn how to mobilize our mental structure, because: "we cannot solve a problem with the same mindset that initiates it."
Ideally, projects follow a path of:
System Analysis > Inspiration > Ideation > Prototyping > Start-Up > System Change
This innovation development model underpins the research framework of the Open Earth Foundation and the Yale Open Innovation Lab.
